Hope Volleyball Tournament

On Saturday, June 14th, 2003 the North York Harvest Food Bank was one of only six charities chosen to be a recipient of the proceeds from the 2003 Annual Hope Volleyball Tournament.   The location of this year's event was on Toronto Island.  For more information please visit the Hope Volleyball website.

Gloria Baldwin, our Development Officer and Dale Boone, a Food Bank volunteer pose beside our information booth at the event. Our information booth was one of several displays by the participating charities.

Over 350 teams participated in the tournament in 2002, and HOPE raised over $80,000 for the five participating charities thanks to their incredible team of volunteers. This year, the organization hoped to do even better.

The Food Bank sent down several volunteers including a couple of staff members and their families. Two of our younger volunteers, Ariana and Kristen Del Bianco, pose beside our display at the end of a long but fun-filled day
